Michael Foley

I've been a market gardener using more and more plastic for going on 16 years. I managed the Willits Farmers Market for nine years, am a co-founder of the School of Adaptive Agriculture, and work a lot with aspiring farmers, beginning farmers, and experienced farmers in this county. Most recently I'm the author of Farming for the Long Haul: Resilience and the Lost Art of Agricultural Inventiveness, which looks at how we will produce food in the uncertain future ahead and the lessons we can take from older, more successful farming and food gathering societies.
