Mark Albert has botanized, published, taught and gardened continuously in Mendocino County for 40 years. Specializing in self-sufficient food production all year round at his own agricultural research station near Lake Mendocino, Mark has searched for the best fruit and vegetable cultivars for our climate. He has taught fruit tree science for 34 years at the annual Mendocino Permaculture Winter Abundance Workshop. He was manager of a fruit tree propagation nursery, produced 100,000 grafted trees, and is an irrigation technologist. He is employed as an RN at Howard Hospital in Willits.
