Divora Stern LCSW grew up in poverty as a second generation Holocaust survivor. Having both parents survive Nazi Germany & the death camps at a young age, she understood violence, abuse & hunger in Cleveland Ohio. She ventured out to Ca as a homeless teen & decided upon setting foot in Mendocino county to purchase raw land & build her own home with her own two hands. Working as a gardener for Oakland Public Schools And East Bay Park district with a tenth grade education, she made this happen for herself on a steep hillside overlooking the Willits Valley. She shares much practical wisdom. Divora purchased her property at age 23 and has hand cared for the road &water system for 43 years. Divora holds a permaculture license and has a strong connection with the earth, as the grounding feminine force.
