Ever wanted to try making Cheddar, Gouda, Feta or any other kind of hard cheese? It's not as hard as you think! We will discuss equipment and tools, focusing on keeping it simple so you do not need a large budget to get started. All stages of cheese making will be demonstrated - culturing, adding rennet, cutting the curd, and the various processes that follow including pressing and brining. As a participant you can stir the curd, practice cutting the curd, and help put the cheese in the mold - interactive learning is encouraged! Samples of homemade cheese provided for tasting.
