Saturday Night Dance to Pura Vida and Self Fulfilling Prophecies

PV 15 COMPCHTE namesThe music begins at 8 pm after the potluck dinner with Pura Vida. Mendocino County’s original Latin-inspired dance band has brought eclectic Latin rhythms to North Coast dancers for over 20 years. In addition to their signature Cuban songs, Pura Vida performs Cumbia, Merengue, Flamenco, & Brazilian Bossa & Samba rhythms, with a sprinkling of Rock, Jazz, & Funk. Pura Vida’s spicy Latin music is diverse, energetic and always danceable, bringing PURE LIFE to any celebration. With Roberto Gloria, Jorge Gomez, Margi Gomez, Isa Davila, & Lenny Laks. Find out more about Pura Vida on their Facebook page.

Self Fulfilling PropheciesThe fun continues with Self Fulfilling Prophecies. You can anticipate a head bopping, foot stompin’ good time with this all-originals power trio. Self Fulfilling Prophecies has a little something for everyone. With influences ranging from punk, country, rock, reggae, and world beat, you could call them Americana (with punk and edge.) Their sound is colored with intense emotion, at times leaving the audience in a trance-like state. S.F.P. has been playing venues in and around Mendocino County for many years. With Morgan Stocker (the Stock Rocker) on vocals, foot drums and guitar; Buckminster West on wailing guitar, and Bodhi Idarius on thumping bass.
