Keynote Speakers 2019: Jim Tarbell

E.F. Schumacher’s Small is Beautiful Theory of Economics advocates for appropriate technologies as if people and the planet mattered. This concept blends with the Not So Simple message because our workshop presenters share appropriate technologies that teach self reliant, sustainable and regenerative rural living skills.

Jim Tarbell, an early advocate and supporter of Building the Economy for Our Common Good in Mendocino County is our Keynote speaker. He and the rest of the folks at the Grassroots Institute and four dozen participants in workshops to Build the Economy for Our Common Good have spent the past two years putting together the Map of the Economy for the Common Good. He will speak about the vision and purposes of the map and how participants in the Not So Simple Living Workshops can all be part of it.
